District Four Design is a commercial interior design and office fit-out company founded by Kyle Donnachie. We specialise in creating workplaces and hospitality spaces that look exceptional, function brilliantly, and reflect the brands that occupy them.

From our offices in Doncaster and London, we work with businesses across the UK to design, build, and furnish commercial interiors. Our Story

Born from Frustration

District Four Design was born from a simple frustration. Too many fit-out projects felt disjointed. The designer had one vision, the contractor had another, and the furniture supplier was working from a completely different brief. The result was compromise, miscommunication, and spaces that never quite lived up to the original concept.

A Better Way

Kyle Donnachie founded District Four Design to change that. By bringing every discipline in-house, we removed the gaps between design intent and built reality. Our clients get one team, one process, and one standard of quality from start to finish.

What started as a specialist office fit-out company has grown into a full-service commercial interior design practice. We now deliver projects across workplace, hospitality, retail, and leisure sectors, but our approach has never changed. We listen first, design with purpose, and build with precision.

Meet the Team

Kyle Donnachie – Managing Director

Kyle founded District Four Design and leads the business with a hands-on approach that clients appreciate. With deep experience across commercial fit-out and a sharp eye for detail, Kyle oversees every project from pitch to completion. He is as comfortable on site in a hard hat as he is presenting design concepts in the boardroom.

Emily Donnachie – Creative Director

Emily leads the creative direction of every project, bringing a refined design sensibility and an instinct for translating brand identity into physical space. She has a talent for balancing aesthetics with functionality, creating interiors that are beautiful to look at and brilliant to use.

Danuel Hartley

Danuel is a key part of the District Four team, bringing technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail to every project. His ability to bridge the gap between creative vision and practical delivery ensures that designs are executed to the highest standard.

Chris Hall

Chris brings energy and dedication to the team, with a focus on ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish. His commitment to quality and his collaborative working style make him an invaluable part of the District Four operation.

Oscar and Otis

No introduction to the District Four team would be complete without mentioning Oscar and Otis, our office dogs. They are the unofficial heads of morale, greeting every visitor with enthusiasm and reminding us all that a great workplace is one you actually enjoy being in. They do not contribute much to the design process, but they are excellent at quality-checking the breakout areas.

Where to Find Us

We operate from two locations, giving us reach across the UK while keeping the personal, hands-on service our clients expect.

Doncaster

Our headquarters are in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, where the majority of our team is based. This is where our design studio and project management operations are centred, and it gives us excellent access to clients across the Midlands, the North, and beyond.

London

Our London office extends our presence into the capital, allowing us to serve clients across the South East and maintain close relationships with suppliers and contractors in the London market.

Everything Under One Roof

Most fit-out companies do one thing well. Some are great designers but rely on third parties to build. Others are excellent contractors but outsource the creative work. The result is a fragmented process with too many handoffs and too many opportunities for things to fall through the cracks.

District Four Design is different. We bring design, build, and furnish together as one integrated service. That means one team owns the entire project from concept to completion. There are no misinterpretations between designer and builder, no surprises when the furniture arrives, and no finger-pointing when challenges arise.
